With a massive 19 out of 20, the Regatta Geo Extol pants (womens version) got the coveted Highly Recommended in the Country Walking womens trouser test in their spring issue.
Following the test the trousers were given a glowing review, the highlights of which wereŠ"flattering and versatile ... great choice for UK hill walkers ...extremely comfortable ...looks great ... excellent value for a fantastic pair of walking trousers!!"
This is probably the highest score we have had in Country Walking Magazine!

10 years in the making!
The Lowry will become a playground for families as the arts venue celebrates its tenth anniversary with The Regatta Big Family 10th Birthday Party on Fri 4 to Sun 6 June 2010. As a sponsor for this event Regatta is proud to be in support of art and entertainment in Greater Manchester.
The jam-packed weekend promises to be both educational and fun with theatre shows and a chance to get involved in hands-on in activities and work-shops. Theatre highlights include The Mermaid Princess from Italy's Teatro Kismet and a captivating new adaptation of Anderson's The Little Mermaid. Australian clown Wolfe Bowart enthrals young audiences with his gravity defying attempt to re-light the moon in LaLaLuna. The enchanting film Peter and the Wolf is played on the big screen with live music from the Manchester Camerata. Kids favourite Boogie Pete, star of the BAFTA award-winning Boogie Beebies, takes to the stage in Boogie Pete Live. Slung Low present Small Worlds, an imaginative and interactive journey, for youngsters aged 12 upwards. A Scarecrow's tale of fun and furrows, by award-winning children's playwright Mike Kenny, is brought to life by AJTC Theatre Company using movement, puppetry, storytelling and live music.
Robert Robson, Artistic Director of The Lowry commented: "The Regatta Big Family 10th Birthday will be one of the highlights of our 10th anniversary year. Our outreach programmes and events at The Lowry have always placed an emphasis on family activity. Now we just want people to come along and enjoy the party. It should be a great weekend".
Among the fun-filled activities are dance work-shops from Birmingham Royal Ballet, Britain's flagship contemporary dance company, Rambert and The Lowry's dance company in residence, Company Chameleon. The classic game of Consequences is brought to life by the National Youth Theatre. An inflatable play-space will house storytelling from London's National Theatre. The Manchester Halle orchestra wind quintet, The Lowry's Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) and National Youth Theatre come together for a family favourite, musical chairs and statues. Youngsters get to hit the high notes in a singing workshop with Opera North or watch their Pinocchio puppet performance. Carmen and Romeo and Juliet are the focus for the Royal Opera House as they present an open rehearsal, storytelling and mask making.

It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely death of Delia Longley - our fantastic mum from the Regatta marketing campaign 2009.
Delia and her family were winners of our Regatta Family competition in 2008. The family embodied exactly what the Regatta brand is all about - fun loving, ready for adventure and enjoying spending time together in the Great Outdoors. These attributes won them trips to South Africa and Argentina to take part in our photo shoots. And despite being quite shy, Delia was a great role model and took some fabulous photography in some challenging environments.
Delia leaves husband Darren, and children Ben, Leo and India. Our thoughts are with them all.
